Chris joined Murray & Co in March 2024 to enhance the firm’s capital markets and structuring capability, with a focus on debt advisory.
Prior to joining Murray & Co, Chris was CEO of a New Zealand family office focused on high-growth direct investments, in particular technology and technology-enabled businesses. Responsible for a small, professional team, Chris also led the investment identification, transaction structuring and execution processes, and represented the family’s investment vehicle on many of the portfolio company boards.
Chris began his career in 2009 as a graduate with Westpac, where over the course of ten years he developed strong analytical skills and an intuition for risk. In the five years before leaving Westpac in 2019, he was part of the Institutional Bank’s structured finance team, originating and structuring complex sponsor-led buy-out and project finance transactions.
He remains an independent director on the board of one of the family office portfolio companies and is a trustee of the Sir John Kirwin Foundation.
