Sale of Maryville Courts to Archer Group

Murray & Co acted as financial advisor to the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch (the “Diocese”) on the sale of Maryville Courts to Archer Group.

Maryville Courts is an established and successful retirement village business made up of 65 independent living units, a community centre and gardens located on a 1.9 hectare site in central Christchurch.

Archer Group is a retirement village operator owned by a Baptist Church trust. It runs several retirement complexes in suburban Christchurch which includes residential care and dementia facilities.

The sale of Maryville Courts was part of the Diocese’s broader strategy associated with funding the new Catholic cathedral and new parish centres.
