Sale of Farmers Mill to George Weston Foods

Grainstor is the South Island's largest grain storage facility and owns Farmers Mill. Farmers Mill, established in Timaru 13 years ago, is a manufacturer and marketer of high-quality flour and speciality grains.

George Weston Foods' brand, Mauri, is a supplier of bakery ingredient solutions across New Zealand and Australia, with leading brands including Tip Top bread and Big Ben pies.

Grainstor and George Weston Foods have announced they have executed binding legal agreements, under which Mauri has agreed to acquire the Farmers Mill business and milling assets located in Timaru. The sale is subject to conditions including regulatory approval from the Commerce Commission.
