Acquisition of The Doctors by Tend

Murray & Co acted as financial advisor to Tend on the acquisition of primary healthcare provider The Doctors from Green Cross, leading the capital structuring workstream. Murray & Co delivered a significant and highly structured debt package, arranged by leading New Zealand banks.

As a result of the transaction, Tend becomes the largest primary healthcare provider in New Zealand, serving well over 500,000 patients through a combination of in-person and digital care within a single patient-centered platform.

The Doctors was previously New Zealand's largest primary healthcare operator, providing coordinated care to over 400,000 patients across metropolitan, regional and rural communities.

Equity was contributed largely by Pencarrow and its associated funds and Ngāi Tahu.

The transaction will support efforts to improve access, patient experience and outcomes across New Zealand's primary healthcare industry.
